Westcoast Produce Wholesalers is the produce division of Buy-Low Foods serving a large base of Independent customers in British Columbia. Likewise our Alberta division known as Associated Grocers Produce serve customers throughout BC, Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
Collectively we are the produce division of Canada's largest independent Grocery Wholesale company. Westcoast Produce and Associated Grocers Produce are properly positioned for our full service customers and we are on a mission to provide the most comprehensive "fresh program" to our retailers in both BC and Alberta. We have a retail vision that is unique among other wholesalers and has earned us remarkable growth with our customers.
At the core of our wholesale we take great pride in being able to consistently supply our customers with a broad range of quality conventional produce and related items. We are pleased to provide our customers with branded labels such as; Chiquita, Delmonte, Sunkist, Fresh Express, Andy Boy, SnoBoy, Sunkist, Green Giant and others.
Both our Alberta and BC purchasing and selling departments are comprised of produce retailers and store managers who really understand the retail environment and are committed to see our retailers succeed.

History
Westcoast Produce was founded in 1973 by Nick Coft and originally operated in Abbotsford B.C.. At this time Nick Coft owned 3 retail locations and his vision was to create a competitive wholesale company who's core business philosophy was to cater to Independent retailers.
Seeing an opportunity to further grow his business in 1978 Westcoast Produce amalgamated with G&H Marketing (a grocery wholesale distributor). Unified both divisions complimented each other and continued to grow. In 1995, G&H Marketing operated 8 corporate stores and serviced more than 300 Independent customers.
In 1995, Great Pacific Industries purchased Buy Low Foods in order to service the independent grocers in the Lower Mainland. Immediately after the acquisition, Buy Low Foods than purchased G&H Marketing in November 1995 to consolidate and complement Buy Low's existing business.
Since our merger Westcoast Produce Wholesalers has retained its heritage, name and dedication to its independent customers.
Today we have a team of skilled buyers and salespeople who have former retail expertise. Our knowledge pool comes from former produce department managers, store owners, store managers and wholesale buyers. We have the skills to assist our customers and with people who understand the business and can make a difference.
